GRAND AUCTION

15655 33 Mile Rd. Armada, MI 48005

ART OF THE AUCTION

For over a decade the Museum of New Art (MONA) has been dedicated to promoting an awareness of and enthusiasm for human experience through art. Now on Saturday August 24th the museum is asking you to come out and celebrate this tradition as our newest facility opens and transforms into an edgy underground club for a very rare and unique international art auction.

This stylish event will showcase works of art from Michigan and international  artists, all of which will be sold during an energetic silent auction.

Come bid for international and local artists such as Uta Barth, Pae White, the Gao Brothers, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Annette Lemieux and Robert Schefman, Stephen Magsig, Peter Williams, Gilda Snowden, Sacha Eckes, Alison Wong, and Chris Samuels.

Attendees will have the opportunity to support the museum’s extraordinary projects and exhibitions by adding artworks of prestigious and emerging artists to their collections.

Guests will also enjoy area musicians and a delicious sampling from locally brewed beers, delectable wines, hors d’oeuvres, and small plates while mingling with featured artists, fellow collectors, and the museum’s staff and executive directors.

The art auction is a terrific opportunity to collect exceptional works of art while supporting the museum at the same time.

Early bidding will begin Tuesday August 20th at the Armada location, from noon until 8pm each day through Friday. You can bid early in person or by email. Many of the works may also be viewed at our website: www.detroitmona.com

Auction Night is Saturday August 24th, from 6pm to 10pm. All bidding will end promptly at 9:30pm.
